Ample slipover
About the design
Ample Slipover is a classic design with small, elegant details that give it a sleek and simple look. The subtle increases along the shoulders are carried seamlessly into the ribbed edge of the armholes. The armholes are worked with a few short rows to create a shaped fit.
Construction
The Ample Slipover is knitted top-down. The neckline is worked in twisted rib using different needle sizes to achieve a good fit. Short rows are worked at the back neck, along with increases on each shoulder, until the front and back pieces are separated. The front and back pieces are then knitted separately before being joined again, after which the body is completed. Finally, the ribbing on the armholes is worked with a few short rows, making the ribbing slightly narrower at the bottom than at the top.
