The pattern is written for finished size 52”, but includes instructions for making your own size.

This pattern was revised in June 2009 to include a sample and updated directions for making the sweater in Araucania Pomaire knit at 5 sts/inch, along with the original instructions for knitting the sweater in Rio at 4.5 sts/inch.

If using Pomaire, 4 balls are required for sizes up to 48” and 5 balls are required for sizes 48” and larger. This version is knit using 16” and 29” circular needles in US sizes 5 and 7.
