Amsterdam Cardigan
The Amsterdam Cardigan is a top-down cardigan. The back neck is shaped with German short rows to create a better fit. After that, the yoke is increased while keeping a clean raglan line, and knitting continues until the sleeves are separated. The sleeves are knit after body is finished. Pick up the stitches and knit the sleeves in the round. The buttons band is worked in double knitting, so it stays firm and does not stretch even with frequent buttoning. The neck collar is connected smoothly to the button band with no breaks, giving a ready-to-wear look.
The straight lines crossing vertically and horizontally are inspired by the map of Amsterdam. A keyring pocket adds a fun detail to this simple cardigan.
When the collar is fully buttoned, it can be worn as a turtleneck, allowing different styling options.
Enjoy your knitting time with the Amsterdam Cardigan, where a clean silhouette meets thoughtful details.
