In january, we trudged - freezing and completely soaked – through the city center of Amsterdam. I know you have experienced this too – you are on holiday, pass by a yarn shop and there is this one, fine yarn, brightening in the colors of the sunrise, you immediately fall in love with. This happened to me at the yarn shop “De Afstap”.
Since I had knitted a lot of intricate designs recently, I needed a breather: something easy where the yarn does all the work! This triangle scarf is perfect for everyone who is new to knitting. It’s made up of knit and purl stitches only and a couple of yarn overs.
Once the tip is done, you will almost enter a flow state. Since the yarn is so fine, the scarf takes a bit to finish - but the result is dreamy! So try to knit my scarf “Amsterdam Sunrise”!

Im Januar liefen wir frierend und völlig durchnässt durch die Innenstadt von Amsterdam. Und dann kommst du an einem Wollgeschäft vorbei und da liegt diese eine, feine Garn in den Farben des Son-nenaufgangs, in das du dich augenblicklich verliebst? Mir ist das beim wunderbaren Woll-Laden De Afstap (www.afstap.nl) passiert.
Nachdem ich in letzter Zeit sehr viele anspruchsvolle Jacquard-Einstrickmuster gearbeitet hatte, brauchte ich einmal eine Auszeit: Etwas wirklich Einfaches, bei dem das Garn allein die Sache rockt! Dieses Dreieckstuch gelingt jeder und jedem Strickanfänger. Es besteht nur aus rechten und linken Maschen und sehr wenigen Umschlägen.
Wer die Spitze einmal geschafft hat, kommt regelrecht in einen Flow. Da das Garn fein ist, braucht das Tuch zwar seine Zeit, aber das Ergebnis ist ein Traum! Also probier´ es aus, stricke mein Drei-ecks-Tuch Amsterdam Sunrise…
