This sock inspired by a character in The Wheel of Time book series: Siuan Sanche, Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, was born in Tear, and grew up a fisherwoman. She was the Amyrlin (head of all Aes Sedai), and has a talent of being able to see Ta’veren.

Fishbones and a river run down the back of the sock, while the front has an elegant and intricate cable representing the various plans, schemes, and designs of the Aes Sedai, as well as the way the pattern twists itself around those who are Ta’veren.

69 stitch cuff, increases to 74 stitches when cables begin.

This cuff-down sock uses twisted cable stitches. It is written in one size, but is relatively stretchy and can be knit to any length desired. Suggestions are given for where to add extra stitches to increase circumference.
