This is a fairly simple lace edging pattern that is knit in a twelve row repeat.

No yarn weight or needle size is specified by the pattern; as with many lace patterns, a slightly larger needle size than suggested on your chosen yarn’s label can add to the “airiness” of the lace.

This pattern was originally published in 1891 and has been modernised, test knit and corrected.
