Great for in between seasons, this 3/4 sleeve top is made with BWM Dolce, 50% wool & 50% bamboo. It has a beautiful sheen and wonderful drape. The sleeve and body length are customisable either shorter or longer. It also looks great sleeveless.
The body is made up of two types of lace interspersed with stocking stitch. The sleeves are knitted onto the body and shaped using short rows. Neckline and sleeves are finished with i-cords.
Knitted in the round bottom up for the body, and top down with short rows for the sleeves. The only seam is a 3 needle bind off on the shoulders.
Gauge is 24 sts to 28 rows. It used 3 x 200g balls of Dolce.
Knitted with 4.5mm circular needle, and i-cord knitted with 3.75mm needle. You will also need a darning needle to sew in the ends.
The knit has considerable stretch, will work for 110 to 119cm busts. It would also work outside these measurements due to the stretch, and depending on how you like your garment to fit.
To adjust the sizing you could also add or subtract lace patterns on the body.
It’s title is contributed to by ripples symbolizing interconnectedness, cause and effect, and the far-reaching consequences of small actions or events.
That’s life and we choose the type of ripples we make.
