An Italian Winter Shawl is a classic triangular shawl with relaxing garter stitch and eyelets throughout, finished off with a neat and straightforward i-cord edge.

Yarn
250 g of Drops Air (150 meters (164 yards) / 50 g)

Measurements
Width: 170 cm (67 inch)
Height: 85 cm (33 inch)

Needles
5 mm (US 8) circular needles, at least 80 cm (32 inch) long

Gauge
15 sts and 28 rows in 10 cm (4 inch) in garter stitch

Notes

  • The shawl is worked flat, back and forth, from one tip towards the cast off edge, and it’s all garter stitch with i-cord edges and beautiful eyelets throughout.
  • You can easily adjust the length, based on the amount of yarn you have (keep knitting until you have just enough yarn to work the cast off edge – or until you’re happy with the length).
