The ancient Egyptians used Canopic jars to store organs during mummification, so that their owner could use them in the afterlife. The lids were made to feature the four sons of Horus:
• Baboon-headed Hapi protected the lungs
• Jackal-headed Duamutef protected the stomach
• Human-headed Imset protected the liver
• Falcon-headed Qebehsenuef protected the intestines

Finished dimensions: each jar is around 20cm tall.

You will need:
• DK Yarn – red-brown, beige, green, black, white, dark blue, yellow (or gold if you can find it).
• 4mm crochet hook (US size G)
• Felt for eyes– black, white
• Small amount of black yarn for embroidery
• Yarn needle
• Stuffing
