There’s a special kind of peace that comes from making something with your own two hands, especially when that “something” is three accessories in one. Originally born in 2016 for a local yarn shop tour, I’ve spent the summer of 2025 revitalizing this fan-favorite design to give you a relaxing, foolproof making experience that results in a true heirloom.

The hat is a bit of crochet magic. Thanks to an updated (and optional) spring lock slide toggle, you can adjust it on the fly. Wear it closed as a slouchy beanie to keep the heat in, pull your ponytail through for a sporty look, or open it up and wear it around your neck as a stylish cowl.

I’m particularly proud of the fingerless mitts in this set. Unlike typical patterns, these feature a clever, ergonomic design with a lower edge across the palm. This prevents the fabric from bunching up uncomfortably when you move your hands, while the back of the mitt gently lengthens to keep your knuckles warm and cozy.

The 2025 update includes built-in checkboxes to track your rows, so you never have to wonder where you left off. I’ve also improved the techniques for the finished edges and picking up stitches, giving your set that professional, high-end look that lasts for years.

Whether you’re standing on a misty shoreline or just grabbing a coffee, this set keeps you perfectly comfortable and stylishly prepared for whatever the weather does next.
