Knitting Pattern for a Summery Raglan Cardigan with a Diamond Lace Pattern, a Round Neck a Double Knitted Button Band and Short or Long Sleeves in Sizes XS/S | M/L (XL/2XL | 3XL/4XL)

Structure:
The cardigan is worked top down with raglan increases and a checked lace pattern. To shape the round neck, you work for a few centimeters back and forth in rows before you are going to finish the round neck by casting on new sts. Afterwards, you continue working the yoke back and forth in rows.
After separating the sleeves from the body, the body is finished in lace pattern back and forth in rows. A hem in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the body.
Afterwards, the resting sleeve stitches are picked up and new stitches are picked up directly out of the body before the sleeves are finished in rounds in lace pattern. Shortly before the cuffs there are worked in a few decreases for a slight sleeve shaping. The cuff is worked in 1x1 twisted ribbed pattern.
Now stitches are picked up again around the neckline and a collar in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the round neck. A button band in double knitting is worked along the front panels and buttons are sewn to the button band.
The fit of the cardigan is close to the body and has no or a little positive ease of up to 10 cm. A negative ease of up to 5 cm is possible too. If you are in between two sizes, I recommend to choose the smaller size.
The highlight of the cardigan is the lace pattern reminding of a checked pattern creating an airy and breezy garment perfect for cooler summer days and warmer spring days.

Materials:

• 400 | 450 (550 |600) g “Helene“ by Novita (195 m/50 g) for the short sleeved version OR 500 | 550 (600 |700) g “Helene“ by Novita (195 m/50 g) for the long sleeved version
• 4.5 mm circular knitting needles and 3.5 mm DPNs (additionally 4.5 mm short needles for the sleeves if preferred)
• 5 buttons (ø around 20 mm)
• Darning needle
• Stitch markers or leftovers

Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 17 sts x 23 rs in pattern with 2 strands of yarn held together on 4.5 mm knitting needles (wet blocked)

Measurements:
Bust Circumference Finished Cardigan:
101 | 112 (123 | 135) cm with a positive ease of up to 10 cm OR a negative ease of up to 5 cm.
Length Finished Cardigan:
54 | 59 (61 | 67) cm (incl. 3 cm hem) – can be adapted inidividually.
Sleeve Length:
around 20 cm (short) or 38 cm (long) from the armpits down (+ 4 cm cuffs), can be adapted individually.
