Notes from the Designer:

I love anything knit in winter white yarn! Simple, yet elegant. Reminiscent of the soft glow of moonlight on freshly fallen snow. It was a favorite of my mother, and so it brings back many fond memories of my childhood. The Andrea cowl is a fairly quick knit that uses thick yarn. Buttery Bulky and Restore Chunky yarns are wonderfully soft yarns that make this cowl a joy to both knit and wear. Perfect for taking off the chill on a cool, crisp winter day.

  • Watch this video for a demonstration on how to work the 3/3 right and left cables.

  • The updated sample shown used approximately 568 yds/519 m total Color A: 204 yds/187 m, Color B: 173yds/158 m, and Color C: 191 yds/175 m.

  • The original version was made with our Buttery Bulky yarn in color Marshmallow and used 216 yds/198 m.

  • For a larger cowl (approximately 54”/137 cm) that can be doubled up when worn, use three skeins of Buttery Bulky. Cast on 216 stitches, and repeat the stitches from * nine times, rather than the six stated in the instructions.

  • When blocking, please be aware that Buttery Bulky yarn changes a lot when wet. It will appear to be much thinner, and the cowl will stretch out considerably. Reshape to the finished dimensions, and be assured that it will fluff back up when dry.
