Anémone socks are worked traditionally starting from the cuff followed by the leg. The heel is worked as a reinforced heel flap and after the heel turn the gusset decreases are worked. The foot is worked in plain Stockinette St, and the foot length is adjustable. Embroidered flowers are sewn on the leg creating a beautiful detail.

Measurements: leg and foot circumference approx. 20 cm / 8”, length of foot adjustable.

Gauge: 22 sts x 28 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in Stockinette St using 3.5 mm (US 4) needles, after blocking.

Needles: 3 mm (US 2.5) and 3.5 mm (US 4) DPNs.

Yarn: 100 g Aara Aatos (75% superwash merino, 25% nylon – 225 m / 246 yds / 100 g), colour Koru.

Notions: Stitch markers and tapestry needle.
