Description:

A lightweight romper with an optional ruffle detail. The perfect layering piece for your precious little ones. The front and back features a delicate leaf lace motif with 3D bobbles on the front for textural impact. We’ve also added buttons at the bottom and neckline for ease of dressing.

Skill level: Experienced

Skills required: You will need to be able to switch from rounds to rows and keep pattern correct as you do so. At this level you should be able to work multiple instructions at once, i.e inc, dec and follow the stitch pattern. For ease of use we’ve included both the symbols chart and the row by row instructions for the lace panel.

YARN

We used BareFaced Sport classic 100% Organic cotton (180m/196yds per 50g/1.75oz ball)

2 (2:3:3:3) x 50g balls for Ruffle version

2 (2:3:3:3) x 50g balls for Plain version

You will need slightly less yarn for the Plain version than for the Ruffle version, but we still recommend this number of whole balls of yarn.

TENSION:

28 sts and 33 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch and 3.25mm needles

27 sts and 32 rows to 10cm over lace pattern and 3.25mm needles
