The hat is worked bottom up. Please note that the different sizes have a slightly different look. The size 0-1 months and 18-24 months has one “point” down the forehead while size 6-12 months has two.

Head measurements (circumference):
Appr. 32 (39) 45 cm

Gauge: 28 sts x 20 rows on 10 x 10 cm in eyelet pattern - one repeat should be 6 cm wide and 2 cm high

Skill level: Intermediate

Techniques: Icord, cast on new sts in continuation of a row, purl increases, eyelet pattern

Materials:

  • 30-50 grams of yarn for size 3,5 mm (U.S. size 4) needles (the sample hats in the pictures are made in Quince & Co Lark (50 g = 123 m/134 yards) in the color Petal, Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (50 gr = 125 m/136 yards) in the color Rose Pink (#094) og Drops Garnstudio Lima in the color Powder Pink (#3145) (50 g = 100 m/109 yards))

  • Size 3,5 mm (U.S. size 4), 40 cm (16 inches) circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)

  • Size 3,5 mm double pointed needles (for the icord ties and crown - the crown can be made using the magic loop method as well)
