I make as you all know for various charities and I was asked recently to create a small A4 sized blanket for angel babies. I used a 4.5mm hook and DK but you could use 4ply and a 4mm hook to give you a softer finish, but you will need to increase the number of rows.

I came across the (sc, 1htr) stitch recently on another blog Little Monkey I think and I thought it lent itself lovely to this design. It is now one of my favourite stitches.

Very easy to increase and make bigger by increasing the starting chain in increments of 2.

This little blanket has already been donated and I’m sure there will be more to come.
