NOTES:
Turning chain does not count as a stitch, unless stated otherwise. However, it is occasionally used where noted in the pattern. For the purpose of this pattern, the first stitch of a row will always be worked in the last stitch of the previous row.

Occasionally, some stitches may be worked into multiple times.

Blocking is recommended to ensure ideal shaping. Lightly starching in conjunction with blocking is recommended if these letters will be used by themselves and not sewn to another item (i.e. for a wall hanging, Christmas ornaments, etc).

Yardage given above is only an approximation. Each crocheter is different, so allow yourself a little extra yarn just in case and also for attaching purposes, if applicable.

If attaching to fabric, coordinating thread and sewing needle will be required.

ATTACHING TO OTHER LETTERS:
When placing letters in the desired order, tail may need to be lengthened to connect to a subsequent letter. Please see note above in pattern for instructions on lengthening tail.
Whip st letters together. Fasten off and weave in ends.

SIZING ADJUSTMENTS:
There are two suggested methods for adjusting the size of the letters. The first would be to go up (to increase size) or down (to decrease size) a hook size. The second would be to go up (to increase weight) or down (to decrease weight) in yarn weight. It is important to keep in mind that two different brands of yarn may be the same weight, but could still have a slight size difference. If there is a very specific size you need the letter(s) to be, it may be best to make a test letter to ensure ideal sizing.
