The pattern is available in either US or UK crochet terms.

I have also found that you don’t need a lot of yarn to make most Amigurumi dolls, especially if you are using 4 ply yarn. You usually only need up to 1 ball for the basic doll and only small amounts for the rest eg dress, top, shoes etc - other than the hair, depending on what sort of hair style you want. So it’s a great way, to use up spare yarn.

I used 4 ply yarn for doll and clothes and 8 ply for the hair. With a 2.00 mm crochet hook it came out about 11.5 “ or 29 cm. Depending on the size hook you use and the size of yarn, your finished product may measure differently.

Abbreviations in US terms
MR =Magic ring
CH = chain
ST = stitch
SC – single crochet
INC= increase (2 SC in one ST}
DEC = decrease ( 2 SC together}
SL ST = slip stitch
DC = double crochet
DC INC = 2 DC in one ST
HDC = half double crochet

( ) = repeat instructions in brackets as per number of times indicated
