Artyarns dyes Silky Twist in ombre shades (usually labeled 700’s colors, but also many of the Inspiration shades like Joshua Palm and LYS 2026) which stripe in an interesting fashion on angles.
Sample here is shown using color 779.

I love the long tails in this sillhouette which turns the triangle shape into a very easy to tie and wear neckwarmer. At the same time the decreases in the center of the triangle will cause the stripes to angle toward one another in an attractive V shape.
When you wear it and it becomes too hot, you can easily loosen then whole piece so it is not up directly around your neck, and it will still stay securely on because of the long tails. If you get cold just fasten it tightly.

Pattern is free through your favorite Artyarns re-seller who sells Silky Twist yarn. It uses just 1 small 220 yard skein.
