A simple celebration of yarn, Animenemone is designed for fingering weight (4ply) and is a great project for those 2 skeins that you love and can’t wait to have on your needles. An easy, meditative knit with a little lace to gradually shift from one colour to the next. With a border featuring slipped stitches and a tidy I-cord bind-off and tassels, you’ll have a classic, comfortable shawl with a little flair.

Instructions are written and a handy tick-sheet showing stitch counts, pattern placement, and colour changes is also provided to help you keep track of your work.

Yarn
I used HH Skinny Singles and I had a little of both colours left over but if you have loose tension, I suggest either to go down a needle size or select yarns with 400m/437yd per skein.

MC: 1 skein of fingering weight (4ply) yarn (I used 95g Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles at 366m/400yd per 100g/3.5oz col. Anime).
CC: 1 skein of fingering weight (4ply) yarn (I used 81g Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles not including the tassels, at 366m/400yd per 100g/3.5oz col. Anemone).

Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6). I like to use an 80cm/31.5” circular needle set but straight are fine also. Tapestry needle.

You will need 26 stitch markers to separate all the border pattern repeats or a minimum of 4 for the edges and centre. Clip marker or safety pin to mark the right-side of your work - optional.

Tension/Gauge
20 sts x 32 rows to 10cm (4”) over garter stitch after blocking on 4mm (US 6) needles.

Finished Measurements
72cm (28”) deep at centre x 175cm (69”) wide along top edge (blocked).
