Swathed in an old tweed coat on which the damp had settled like a thousand tiny pearls. ~ Philip Pullman, The Golden Compass; July 1995 by Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers

This fun to knit, quick and easy knit hat and cowl set and is a companion piece to the Anjou Pear Socks and Hat patterns.

Let’s just call them coordinating – and they will definitely both keep you warm on a cool fall day. I love the contradiction of a bright color with a tweed yarn.

SAMPLES
Shorter cowl sample was knit in Suburban Stitcher DK Tweed and weighed 87 g using 201 yds in the It’s Electric colorway.

PATTERN NOTES
This is a checklist pattern; each row is written out for ease of execution. However, this makes the pattern significantly longer – check to see the pages you want to print before starting.

ERRATA: The instructions to bind off were accidently omitted from the pattern in the finishing instructions. V.2 has been updated. 12/14/22
