Ankeny Crop Tank Top
Ankeny Crop Tank Top by @AnesthesiaCG (on IG, Twitter, & Ravelry).
Cotton cropped tank top worked in the round from the bottom up. It has a nice heavy drape, so no fear of the tank top revealing more than planned. Still great for the summer and layering.
Yarn: DK Weight Yarn. I specifically use the We Are Knitters Pima Cotton. This yarn is sold in balls of 3.5oz or 100g and 232 yards or 212 meters.
1 ball is needed for a size 2XS
2 balls are needed for sizes Extra Small to Extra Large
3 balls are needed for sizes 2XL to 4XL
Needles: 3.5mm (US size 4) circular needles. The length of the needles should be at least slightly smaller than the bust measurement you’re knitting for. An example is that I knit the Extra Large (up to 44” bust) with 32” circular needles.
Other Tools: 3 stitch holders/safety pins/scrap yarn to hold straps of pattern before joining.
Darning needle to work in ends of yarn.
Spare needle or crochet hook to join shoulder straps together. Size of needle or hook is not too important, but one within a few mm of 3.5 would be easier to use.
Sizing:
2XS fits up to 24” bust
Extra Small fits up to 28” bust
Small fits up to 32” bust
Medium fits up to 36” bust
Large fits up to 40” bust
Extra large fits up to 44” bust
2XL fits up to 48” bust
3XL fits up to 52” bust
4XL fits up to 56” bust
Smaller and larger sizes are easily attainable and directions of how much to add for each additional or less 4 inches of bust size are included as the pattern goes.
