Ann Sweater
Ann Bancroft was the first woman to reach the North Pole on skis and dogsled in 1986. Fearless. We figured she deserved a sweater named after her. Oversized and set-in, with relaxed sleeves and a long 2x2 rib hem that gives it that signature structured look.
This pattern is made with the Dreamknit Design Tool. Knit it exactly as shown or feel free to change the yarn, the design or details to make it your own. You can also start a brand new design from scratch from our website. As a Dreamknit member you can customize any of our patterns, and download this one for free.
The sweater is worked from the top down with no seaming. You start with the back piece, then pick up stitches for each shoulder separately and shape the neckline with increases. The front and back are joined under the armhole and the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are worked top down by picking up stitches around the armhole.
