Erratum:
The designer says: “I am sorry that there is a mistake in the printed instructions: you are quite right, 128 repeats of the pattern would be more appropriate. You might like to consider using only 2 out of 3 cast-on and cast-off sts to latch up to, so reducing the number of picots required - however, you may also prefer more easing at the corners.

“Perhaps the best method is to work most of the Alexandra Lace repeats and then to start latching up before you finish the piece. This will give you a better idea of how much you still need to do, depending on the amount of ease you like at the corners and at the cast-on, cast-off sections.”
