Annie the Alpaca pattern is for the advanced beginner to intermediate crochet.

US terms used

Small amount of stitching of pieces required. Limbs are crocheted with the body.
Most of the pattern is worked in continuous rounds/spirals of single crochet. Will need to know how to do single crochet, slip stitch, increases and decreases.

Gauge is not important. Finished size if made using yarn and hook suggested will give an alpaca that’s approx. 15 inches tall.

Requirements
3mm hook or size needed so that no holes appear in stitches through which stuffing may show.
I used Bendigo Woollen Mills 100% alpaca in ‘cream’ in 8ply
House of Alpaca 100% alpaca in ‘fawn’ and ‘black’ in 8ply
Size 14mm safety eyes
Needle for joining pieces
Stuffing

PLEASE NOTE:
I used 8ply 100% alpaca fleece. Any suitable yarns are fine, adjust hook if necessary.
Now, using alpaca I discovered that it was thinner than my standard 8ply and has a natural stretch and I had to create extra tight stitches. She ended up being almost 15inches from tips of ears to rear feet when laid flat. I would imagine using a standard 8ply or worsted weight she will be considerably larger than my version!
