Basic Sock Pattern

Nothing is cozier than a pair of warm hand-knit socks! This pattern for socks is surprisingly straight-forward. They make wonderful gifts for family and special friends.

Materials
2 skeins of Wool or part wool makes the best socks. Fingering, sport weight or worsted yarns may be used. I generally just use “sock” yarns.

Double-pointed needles, Size 2

Size
These socks fit women shoe sizes 7 -9. You may decrease the Cast On number of stitches by 8 to 48 for a smaller size sock, or increase the Cast on stitches by 8 to 64 stitches for a larger size.
