Anthophile
ABOUT
Anthophile Shawl is an oversized asymmetrical triangle shawl knitted on a bias.
An anthophile is someone who loves flowers. The riot of colours in a flower-filled garden, the heady scent as you walk past a lilac or honeysuckle bush, the infinite number of shapes and sizes of flowers, from the tiniest field forget-me-not to the largest dinnerplate dahlia, flowers are everywhere, in glorious technicolour.
Annapolis Fibre Co. designed their Anthophile colourway collection as a celebration of the world of flowers. This shawl was designed using three colours and a natural, undyed yarn. Each section of the shawl shows a different colour combination just like flower pairings in a beautiful bouquet, and the garter stripes and lace give you plenty of texture to enjoy while you’re knitting and wearing your shawl.
Anthophile shawl has been designed using four colours of yarn, but it could also work well using a single colour or turning it into a scrappy project and using up your leftovers. Let your imagination run wild and knit a shawl that showcases your personality!
