Aokiji is an asymmetrical triangular shawl from the “Les trois amiraux” collection: three shawls born of three elements, ice, magma and light.
Aokiji is ice. Columns of elongated stitches run right across it, straight as needles of frost, and small raised bubbles settle on them diagonally, section after section, like air trapped in ice.
It is knitted from the tip to the long edge, in garter stitch: one edge grows on every row, the other is scalloped with picots. The pattern returns, steady and calm, and the shawl widens unhurriedly over its eight sections.

Aokiji est un châle triangulaire asymétrique, issu de la collection « Les trois amiraux » : trois châles nés de trois éléments, la glace, le magma et la lumière.
Aokiji, c’est la glace. Des colonnes de mailles allongées le traversent de part en part, droites comme des aiguilles de givre, et de petites bulles en relief s’y posent en diagonale, section après section, comme de l’air pris dans la glace.
Il se tricote de la pointe vers le grand côté, au point mousse : un bord grandit à chaque rang, l’autre se festonne de picots. Le motif revient, régulier et tranquille, et le châle s’élargit sans hâte au fil de ses huit sections.
Un châle à porter comme une brise fraîche sur les épaules, léger et lumineux ✨
