Aora means soft light and glow. With new light each day, small bursts of colour, and slow, joyful making, it captures everything I love about an advent project.
This shawl was made using a 24-day Advent calendar of fingering weight mini skeins (approx. 17g each), but it’s a great pattern for any minis or scraps you have in your stash.

The simple stitch repeat lets the colours shine, with no planning and no overthinking - just one small section at a time.
The little skeins come together into an oversized shawl that’s warm, cosy, and easy to wear. The pattern uses an easy two-row repeat and includes a helpful crochet chart.
I used the leftover yarn to add a fringe along one long edge for a touch of whimsy - completely optional.
