This stranded hat was inspired by the colorway Apollo, and NASA’s space shuttle program of the same name, that landed the first humans on the Moon. I am fascinated with the Universe and brought concepts like The Big Bang and Black Holes into the motifs on this hat.

This 2-color colorwork hat is worked in the round from brim to crown. The brim section is knitted in corrugated ribbing, adding a nice texture. The body of the hat starts with the word Apollo spelled out, followed by various space-related motifs. The bulky weight yarn knits up quickly and has generous negative ease that will fit most heads/hair.
