This pattern makes ice creams that are approx. 3.5cm wide at widest point and 6cm in length from top of ice cream to bottom of cone. If you would like to make larger applique ice creams, use a thicker yarn weight and larger crochet hook.

Gauge is not important in this project.

You will need:
• DK yarn in a variety of colours for the ice cream, DK yarn in brown, or similar, for the cone. I have used Cotton DK Classique by Stylecraft, but any DK yarn will work
• 3mm crochet hook – using a hook of this size will make sure your ice creams stay tight and neat
• Darning/tapestry needle
• A pair of scissors
• Beads and buttons for decoration (optional)
