April Fools' Secret
Two ways to knit – you choose!
April Fools’ Secret was originally released as a mystery shawl pattern in four parts, with the design revealed little by little as you knitted.
When you purchase the pattern, you’ll get access to both versions:
The Mystery Version – the original pattern divided into four clues, with photos of the individual sections ONLY at the end of each section and photos of the finished shawl ONLY at the end of the pattern, so you can still enjoy the surprise and discover the design as you knit.
The Final Version – a regular, complete pattern with photos of the finished shawl and all the mystery-related notes removed, for those who prefer to know exactly what they’re making.
The knitting instructions are the same in both versions – only the experience is different. Choose your adventure!

Finished Measurements
They will be published only after the last clue is published, as they would reveal the shape of the shawl.
Gauge
25 sts & 30 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles in stockinette stitch, worked flat, washed and blocked. Try to match the recommended stitch gauge to avoid running out of yarn (although a small buffer is included in the yardage).
Stitch gauge is more important in this pattern; row gauge is less critical.
Note: I recommend using Color C for swatching.
Needles
3.50 mm (US 4) circular, 80–100 cm (32–40 in) cable

366 m / 400 yd / 100 g fingering-weight yarn in Color A
