AQUILEIA
Aquileia is a quick triangular scarf with simple short-row colorwork to spice things up a bit. It’s easy to continue knitting to make a larger shawl instead should you so desire, just continue repeating the charts and then bind off whenever you’re happy with the size. Use left-overs of fingering weight yarn in different colors, or pick a heavier yarn and larger needles if you want an even quicker project.

GENERAL
Aquileia starts from one corner with only a few stitches. It increases at one end on every row, and decreases at the other end on every other wrong-side row. This creates a long asymmetric triangle with shape perfect for wrapping around the neck.

SIZE
The sample scarf is approximately 25 cm wide x 120 cm between the wing tips when stretched out to a straight top line.

YARN
Merino silk singles in fingering weight (ca 400m/100g). The sample scarf uses left-overs of Manos del Uruguay Fino and a discontinued yarn from Fru Valborg. The sample scarf weighs about 70 g. Make sure your different colors have sufficient contrast between them.
