Aran Cable Blanket
This afghan uses traditional Aran Irish cable stitches from the slip stitch border to each of the cables used in the blanket. I’ve always loved the look of Irish Fisherman’s Sweaters, so I decided to create a blanket based on those designs. I enjoy doing cable stitches, which is another reason I wanted to design one of these Aran-based designs. Once you get the hang of doing cables, they aren’t very difficult, so, if you’ve never tried them before, this is the perfect project to get your feet wet!
