This crocheted cowl is worked flat sideways. It can be buttoned or a decorative pin can be used for its closure. The textured stitches used give it an Aran look but without having to make actual cables.

The cowl in the photos was made from two skeins of Downton Abbey Branson yarn in the color Cobblestone Grey.
