This pattern was adapted from Barbara Walker’s “Tiger Eye” lace motif - when I saw it, I couldn’t help but think it would be much better suited as the face of a fox! These socks are knit toe-up with a short-row heel and are not left/right foot specific, facilitating two-at-a-time knitting. I recommend using a solid color yarn; the fox pattern will be lost in a variegated yarn.

I provide instructions for 3 foot circumferences: 7”/18cm (8”/20.5cm) (9”/23cm). I choose a size based on the smallest size that reaches across the tips of all 5 toes but I like a snug sock.

Motif instructions are provided in both written and charted formats.
