In the chilly arctic, the mornings start off grey and blue, with glowing yellows and greens. This blanket is my attempt to capture just a little of that radiant monotony.

This blanket works up much faster than it looks, thanks to the worsted weight yarn and many small units. Many knitters find they are able to finish a hexagon unit in a single evening!

The yarn estimates will leave you with a bunch of leftover half balls. Usually it is best to buy all the yarn needed for a given project at once, to ensure that it is all the same dye lot. Given the swirling colorwork in this particular project, mis-matched dye lots will not be noticeable so don’t be afraid to buy half the yarn to start and the rest as-needed!

This is one of many colorwork blankets, check out my designer page if you want more!
