DESIGN
This hat was designed to compliment my Snowbird Blanket
Shawl (see pg. 4). Knit in the round from the bottom up in
a very simple three-stitch cable that resembles distant birds
in flight. With a four-row repeat, this is the perfect project
for mindless knitting that will pay off with a finished hat in
just a few hours. Worked in super bulky weight yarn, for a
quick knit that’s perfect for gift-giving. A tubular cast on,
paired with the stretchy 3x1 cable stitch allows this hat to fit
a wide range of head sizes. Hat is written in ONE SIZE to fit
an average-sized adult head, between 18”/46 cm and 23”/58 cm. (See finished measurements below.) The hat is charted, and separate written instructions are included. All repeats appear in bold text.
