The hat is designed for a slouchy fit. The body cable and rib patterns are very stretchy.

1 set 3.5mm [US 4] circular needles, 40cm [16in] long, or double-pointed needles, or needle size required to match tension

TENSION
32 sts and 36 rounds to 10cm [4in] over unstretched 2x2 rib, using smaller needles
Cable A panel (20 sts) to 6.5cm [2½in], using larger needles
30 rounds to 10cm [4in] over cable panel and rib, using larger needles

PATTERN NOTES
This hat is worked in the round from the brim up. Crown shaping is worked into the cable panels. The deep rib brim is folded up for wear. Since the hat is knitted in the round, all chart rows are read from right to left. The charted cable panels are also provided as written instructions.
