The Aria Wrap Cardigan is a wrap cardigan with side ties. It is worked from the top down. The cardigan features a deep V-neck, double-knitted edges, and tie bands. The upper part of the back piece is knitted first. Then, stitches are picked up along the shoulder seams, and the two front pieces are knitted separately. Next, the front and back pieces are joined, and the body is knitted back and forth on a circular needle, with increases along the front pieces to create the wrap effect. The body is finished with a double-knitted edge, which also forms one of the tie bands. The sleeves are knitted from picked up stitches along the armhole openings, shaped with decreases, and finished with a folded edge that is sewn down. Finally, a doubleknitted front edge is knitted, forming the cardigan’s tie bands.
