Ariel Counterpane Baby Blanket
Each counterpane square for this heirloom baby blanket is made in the round from the center out. Instructions for the counterpane square are both charted and written out in text. Create a larger blanket (48” by 60”) by knitting 20 squares and omitting the border.
Needles: 5 double-pointed needles, size 7 (4.5 mm); one size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” needle; one size 7 (4.5 mm) 24” needle; one size 7 (4.5mm) 29” needle; one crochet hook, size H-8 (5 mm) for cast on only.
Notions: one cable needle, blunt-end yarn needle.
