Ariel’s Shawl
This shawl was inspired by Ariel (The Little Mermaid) - with blocks of ‘scales’ and ‘pearls’ in between blocks of stocking stitch
The shawl is knitted flat, using a circular needle to accommodate the number of stitches.
Thank you to Kerry (beluke on Ravelry) for test-knitting this pattern
You can make this shawl in any ply. The important thing is to use larger size needles than usually recommended for the ply to get the loose lacy fabric of the shawl.
I made mine using BWM 4ply cotton on 4mm needles (green shawl in photos)
Kerry made hers using 5ply yarn on 4mm needles (orange shawl in photos)
