Arika incorporates natural, unconventional knitting materials into a basic wool bag for a textured, rugged effect. The bag is knit from a double strand of bulky wool yarn. Various materials may added/ substituted to create texture. Among the options are:

Any lace weight to fingering weight yarn
3mm Hemp Twine
Thin Hemp Twine (Diameter of fingering weight yarn or less)
An Eyelash Yarn
Raffia

The bag is knit from the bottom up in the round, then lightly felted in a washing machine. A button and loop are added post-felting.
