The Armature Cowl was born from my interest in structure and directionality. It was inspired as I was looking at photos of the Centre Pompidou, a building in Paris that was designed to showcase geometric supports on its exterior surface. The Armature features a striking lattice-like texture that twists around the cowl. Made with chunky yarn, the cowl knits up fast and will showcase both variegated and tonal yarns. The texture is created by combining right-leaning twists and left-leaning dip stitches in a pattern that is easy to memorize, surprisingly reversible, and comes together with satisfying geometry.
