The shawl is worked diagonally in rows. Once shawl is desired size the border is added, and optional fringe.

The chevron or “arrow tail” design is built up using tall stitches worked in the unworked loops of rows below in similar manner to the popular apache tears stitch. In this design you will work 4 rows in each colour before switching, and work back and forth thus eliminating ends to weave in.

Once the pattern has established over a few stripes this is a super easy and effective stitch.

Yardage quoted includes fringe and border.
