Every May, you’ll find our valley hills awash with brilliant yellow wildflowers. Fondly referred to by locals as the Okanagan Sunflower, the Arrowleaf Balsamroot is both Kelowna’s official flower, and a sure sign of spring in the Okanagan.

Worked in elegant single colour brioche and pleasing mosaic, this simple gratifying knit is the perfect beginner project for learning brioche and basic colourwork. For a more dramatic effect throughout the mosaic section, choose complimentary colours with high tonal contrast.
