Arte Nuova is a lightweight, draped top, perfect for warmer months. It is worked top-down, in the round, featuring a hybrid raglan / yoke construction. Chevron cables run along each shoulder and down the outside of the sleeves. A section of intricate colourwork, which takes inspiration from Art Deco and Art Nouveau design eras, decorates the waist. This is an engaging, motivating knit that yields an elegant and versatile finished garment.

SAMPLE
The wearer is 5’10” with a 37” chest circumference. The sample is size M, giving the wearer 3.5” / 9cm of positive ease at the chest. The sample has been modified to allow for the wearer’s height by working an extra 1” of length in the body before starting the colourwork.

SIZING GUIDE
This garment is graded into sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). Recommended positive ease is 2-8” / 5-20cm at the chest circumference.
Finished Garment Chest Circumference: 33.25 (37, 40.5, 44.25, 48) (51.75, 55.5, 59, 62.75)“ / 83 (92.5, 101.5, 111, 120) (129, 138.5, 147.5, 157)cm.

GAUGE
Using 3.25mm / US size 3 needles (or needle size required to obtain gauge), 26 sts over 43 rnds of stockinette, wet blocked, creates a 4x4”/10x10cm square.
Gauge for colourwork should be the same as stockinette; if not, adjust needle size for colourwork accordingly.
Neckband, waistband and cuff circumferences assume you are working 7.5 sts per 1” / 2.5cm.

YARN
Arte Nuova has been created using Positive Ease’s Pure Merino base (100% Superwash Merino; 400m / 437yds per 100g) in colourways Tweed Coat as the main colour and Cosmos as the contrast colour.
