The Artefact Shawl crochet pattern.

I have had the shape of this shawl (a bit like a half hexagon) in my head for a long time but couldn’t quite figure out how to do it. When I got this yarn for my last birthday I knew I had to work it out. I also wanted the border to have movement, without being really frilly and so the Artefact Shawl was born.

Difficulty Rating: Easy, with some concentration for the first few rows of the border. The stitches used are: treble, half treble and chain (double crochet, half double crochet and chain).

Materials: 3mm crochet hook
Life in the Long Grass, Fine Sock 75%/25% Superwash Merino/Nylon 4ply yarn in Artifact x 1 and Crush x 1, 100g (425m/ 464y)
Needle for sewing in ends

Finished shawl measures approx. Finished shawl: 46 x 21” (116 x 53cm).

This pattern is written in English and includes both UK and US terms.
