Inspired by subterranean waterways, “Artesian” is a triangular shawl with asymmetrical sections of lace spilling over the shawl’s edge.

Originally part of the Knitculture Studio Club, Artesian has been reworked to include specifications for two additional Anzula yarn bases with 5-7 repeats of the lace panel motif. Note that proportions of the shawl will change slightly with each repeat of the motif. 5 repeats will yield more length along the cast on-edge than along the scalloped edge; 6 repeats will yield approximately even cast-on edge and scalloped edge length; 7 repeats will yield a less length along the cast-on edge in comparison to the scalloped edge.

Many many thanks to teresat2t who knit three lovely samples for me. And I do mean lovely.
