This plush cowl is knit in the double knitting technique, creating a wonderfully plush and warm fabric, ideal for any cold weather accessory!

The motif is a young foal with a garland of new pine cones crowning his head peering through the pines. The word ‘Arvingen’ means ‘the heir’ in Norwegian, and this little foal will grow up in the forest where he has been born, destined to become its King.

Knit on gauge US 7 (4.5 mm) needles using three colors, basic cast-on and cast-off (in US size 2 needles) methods are combined with double knitting charts to help the newcomer to this technique enjoy a project that is comprehensive and quick-growing, with a wonderful finished, and oh-so-wearable piece!

This pattern is also perfect to kids, as it is 10.5” in width x 8.25” in height when laid flat.
